The Responses section gives you the granular view on submissions: one row per participant, one column per question. This is where you go when the aggregated Summary isn’t enough and you need to look at the data one record at a time.

The responses table

Each row is one submission. The first columns carry the metadata, then one column per question:
The question code is what ties everything together: it labels the columns here, the questions in the filters and the fields in the export. You set it in the block options in the Builder.

Table controls

The bar at the top searches across all responses.
Same question-based conditions as in Summary: pick a question by its code, an operator and a value. On open-ended questions the filter uses a simple text input. Survey variables can be used directly as a filter criterion too, with text, numeric and date values plus checks on empty values. Video Interviews can also be searched by their final transcript, including any edited version.
Reloads data from the server without reloading the page. Useful while your study is still live.
The checkboxes in the left column select several responses at once so you can run bulk actions.

Response types

The selector at the top left decides which categories of submissions appear in the table, with the count shown next to each one.
The active selection applies across filters, search, bulk selection and export: what you see is what you act on.

Response detail

Click a row to open Response detail. The panel opens on the completeness of that submission — “18 of 18 questions answered” — and then walks through the interview question by question, with the option the respondent chose highlighted. Use it to read a single participant’s path end to end, and to check that a suspicious row is a real answer and not noise.
For MaxDiff questions, the detail also shows the net score per statement limited to that respondent, and the list of every set they were shown with the best and worst statement highlighted.

Exporting

Select responses with the checkboxes on the left and start Export: you can choose the scope (selected only, all filtered, or the full dataset) and the format, Excel or SPSS. See Exporting data for the full guide to types, scopes and formats.

Deleting multiple responses

You can delete one or more selected responses directly from the table, to clear out invalid submissions and keep the results clean.
Bulk deletion acts on every response you have selected. Check the active selection and the applied filters before confirming: deleted submissions cannot be recovered.
