While this mode is off, four Exoid features don’t exist in the interface. They aren’t disabled or greyed out: they simply aren’t there.
  • Context variables in question titles and descriptions
  • Advanced logic expressions that reuse answers already given
  • Visibility conditions for questions in the Linear Builder
  • SPSS export of the dataset in .sav format
If you’re looking for one of these options and can’t find it, this is almost always why. Advanced statistics mode extends what Exoid collects for every respondent and organizes the dataset in a format ready for statistical software. You need it when your data doesn’t end up in a slide but in real analysis: market research, academic studies, any project where the data has to be handled with statistical methods.
Turn it on before you put the study online, so you build the flow with every feature already available.

Where to turn it on

Open the interview settings from the side menu and switch on Advanced Statistics Mode.

What extra data is collected

For every respondent Exoid stores:
  • total completion time
  • time per individual question
  • start date and time
  • end date and time
Information useful for methodological analysis:
  • device (mobile, desktop, tablet)
  • operating system
  • browser
  • IP address, where allowed
  • traffic source (link, panel, etc.)
The dataset is organized to be compatible with statistical software:
  • numeric variables correctly typed (Scale)
  • categorical variables coded (Nominal/Ordinal)
  • multiple choice turned into 0/1 variables
  • matrices structured for analysis
  • codes assigned to the options in the interview

Exporting the data

With the mode active, the Results section makes SPSS .sav export available on top of the Excel export you already have. The SPSS export arrives with variables already typed and a structure usable in SPSS with no conversion steps, and it covers the supported response types — Normal, Screened-out and Discarded.
